Paper Embossing

Although there are several posts on paper embossing online, I really liked one by Greg Mathews. It was very simple to follow without using any fancy tools. I tried it on golden filmed paper and it worked out like a charm for me. Check out the original post here.

Photo Canvas

Supplies:
  • Photo print
  • Pre-stretched Canvas
  • Mod Podge in Gloss
  • Brush
  • Acrylic paint – in white
  • Rag
  • Paper Knife
  • Sandpaper / Scrub pad

  Step by Step Instruction:

Apply a thick layer of Mod Podge to the back of your photo and press it onto the canvas.
Use rag to smoothen the photo starting from center moving towards the edges.

Press the canvas upside down for a minute. Wait for Mod Podge to dry for half an hour.

Trim photo edges around the canvas using sharp paper knife.

Sand the edges using sandpaper. Utensil scrub pad works fine if you don’t have sandpaper.

Paint the edges of the canvas using white acrylic paint. You can skip this step if edges are already white.

Paint Mod Podge over the top of the picture and let it to dry completely.
Mod Podge dries clear and gives your photo a very nice canvas paint finish.
